About Our Farm

McDanolds Cattle Co. is a 5th generation cow/calf producer, which started when my great-great grandfather immigrated to the United States from England in the 1850’s. My wife and I were married in June of 2006 and at that time, we started building our family and cattle herd in Southeastern Iowa.

My wife, Jamie, and I decided we were going to build a herd to concentrate on the genetics including maternal traits, marbling, growth and ease of calving. These were the top traits we looked for in the beginning. We have always wanted to take the knowledge I gained from generations of raising livestock to produce the best Angus and Lowline Angus to bring to the public. At McDanolds Farms, we carefully select our cattle to produce well marbled steaks without the use of hormones.

 

We are expanding into other livestock as well. Our 15 year old son has begun the process of starting his own crate-free pig operation, while keeping the principles he has been taught about caring for animals and selecting the right genetics. At McDanolds Farms, we raise our beef and pork with your health in mind. We welcome visitors at our farm, or you can place your orders on our website. Choose from whole, half, and quarter beefs as well as whole and half hogs. With the purchase of a whole or half beef or whole or half hog, you get to enjoy free delivery from the east to west coast.
